Ford’s SID212 ECU is locked from the factory, which means most 2018+ 2.0 EcoBlue Transits, Transit Customs, Rangers and others can’t be remapped until the ECU is unlocked first.

Refit and apply your chosen calibration (e.g. custom remap)
Turnaround & cost

After unlocking, options include

Custom remap (power/torque + drivability, potential MPG improvement)

AdBlue / DPF / EGR software solutions (off-road/export use only — see note below)
Legal note (UK): AdBlue/DPF/EGR delete services are for off-road, export, motorsport or agricultural use only and can affect MOT/insurance if used on-road.
