WP Stage 1 — Wayside Performance Custom ECU Calibration

The Astra H VXR remains one of the most exciting hot hatches Vauxhall ever produced, and the Z20LEH 2.0 turbo engine is a proven platform that responds brilliantly to tuning.

 

Rated at 240bhp from the factory, there's a healthy amount of performance left on the table by Vauxhall's conservative standard calibration — and our WP Stage 1 remap is the single most effective way to unlock it.

 

We've been tuning the Z20LEH since we first opened our doors and have mapped hundreds of these engines.

 

Our Stage 1 calibration has been developed and refined extensively on our in-house rolling road — carefully optimising boost pressure, ignition timing and fuelling to safely extract more from the stock turbo without any hardware changes.

 

Expect figures in the region of 255–265bhp and 280–300ft/lb of torque — a noticeable step up in mid-range pull and throttle response that transforms the way the car drives.

No hardware is mandatory for Stage 1, but we'd strongly recommend fitting a crossover delete pipe and cone filter to get the very best from the remap. The standard recirculation valve is also prone to failure once boost levels are increased, so an uprated replacement should be considered essential at this stage.

 

Every WP Stage 1 installation is carried out at our workshop by our experienced technicians and includes a before and after dyno run with a printed power graph.

 

Advised hardware:

  • Induction kit with crossover delete (recommended)
  • Forge Motorsport recirculation valve (recommended)

 

Please note this product is workshop install only including before and after dyno printout.
